Process
Startup
The project started with our team presenting different ideas to Cinco Nightclub. After meeting with the client and discussing their needs, we identified a loyalty program as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Cinco and its visitors. Arround this time of the process we cretead a timeplan, projectplan and demandspecfikation.
Research - Survey and Interviews
To understand our target audience, we conducted both a survey and interviews. The insights from these methods helped us understand what potential members would value and guided the direction of the loyalty program and its digital experience. We created a poster and put up arround campus to get more answers to our survey.
Prototyping
We started by creating a low-fidelity prototype for a desktop experience. Alongside the interface, we also explored how the loyalty program itself could be structured and presented to the customer.
Design choices
To create a visual experience that feels authentic to Cinco, we used imagery from their existing website and social media. We also chose a typeface similar to the one used on Cinco's website to maintain a consistent visual identity throughout the experience.
Hi-Fi & Iteration
Gradually we started the first high-fidelity prototype, and at one point we conducted a heuristic evaluation to identify areas that could be improved. One important finding was the need for a clear way for members to prove their membership. Based on the feedback, we kept the overall visual direction but adapted the experience to mobile.
The final concept included a personal membership card that members could access through their account. This iteration helped us create a more focused mobile experience while keeping the exclusive feeling of the Cinco brand.
